We’re Tan & Rod. 👋 We relocated from Seattle to the Netherlands with our 3 kids and dog under the DAFT visa, and are SO happy we took the leap.
But we also made a lot of dumb mistakes along the way. 🫣

Since meeting in Hawaii almost 2 decades ago, we’ve tried to see as much of the world as possible. Life is short, and we believe travel is one of the best ways to spend your time and money!
Sadly, too many people put off experiencing this big, beautiful world because of the time and stress it takes to plan and book travel.

Our favorite places we’ve visited together are: Indonesia, Sweden, Italy, St. Lucia, Switzerland, Thailand, Costa Rica, Japan, Vietnam, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
The top places we want to go next are: Australia, Morocco, France, Egypt, Ireland, Tahiti, Iceland, Tanzania, and the Azores.
We have 3 kids and love showing them new places like Japan, Costa Rica, and Hawaii. We recently relocated to the Netherlands where we’ve been able to dive head-first into Dutch culture.
